Luton - Little Hands Day Nursery ‘Good’ place for children – Ofsted Report
Ofsted reported that overall quality of provision is ‘Good ‘at Little Hands Day Nursery. The report said ‘Staff create a welcoming and safe environment in which all children thrive. Planning is flexible, taking into account children's likes and dislikes, enabling them to enjoy their time at the setting and make good progress in their learning and development.’
Basildon - Lilliput Nursery awarded 5 stars for Health and Hygiene
On a recent food hygiene inspection by Basildon Environmental Health Services, the nursery was awarded 5 stars, which equates to excellent. The inspector said, 'The structural finish, cleanliness and food safety management were found to be of a high standard, and I have no food hygiene recommendations to make'.
Lilliput also holds a Healthy Eating award for the quality of its food. New menus are about to be introduced which have been devised under food nutritionalist supervision. Identical menus are used throughout all Sunhill Nurseries.
Aylesbury - Cotton Socks judged 'Satisfactory/Good' - Ofsted Inspection Report
Following an earlier critical report, mainly on non-childcare issues, the latest Ofsted inspection found Cotton Socks Nursery 'Satisfactory' and contrary to the previous inspection last August ‘Good’ in maintaining continuous improvement, also in the effectiveness of leadership, ambition and improvement, as well as in engaging with parents and carers and adapting children’s healthy life styles.
During this time the inspection criteria has changed yet again, raising concerns over the ever evolving nature of the Ofsted inspection, and the apparent inconsistency of standards between different inspectors, highlighted by the fact common standards, policies and procedures are employed throughout Sunhill nurseries.
St Neots - Apricot Nursery judged 'Outstanding' - Ofsted Inspection Report
Ofsted inspectors judged Apricot Day Nursery 'Outstanding' when they recently inspected the nursery. The reports praised both management, and staff team including recent improvements implemented by Sunhill Daycare.
Granta Park Montessori Nursery judged 'Good'- Ofsted report.
Following their recent inspection, Ofsted inspectors found the nursery' Good' overall.Then report said 'Children's' welfare, learning and development in the Early Years Foundation Stage is well provided for. Children's individual needs are fully supported by their key person and through regular discussions and feedback with parents. The setting has established systems to ensure they continue to improve their provision for children through regular evaluation of their practice. There is an effective action plan in place which is used on a regular basis to identify any areas for improvement, and includes all action taken which shows the nursery's commitment to improve practice.
Supa Tots Gym - Opened George Street, Aylesbury
Sessions are carefully structured to encourage all aspects of a child’s development. Physical skills such as balance, co-ordination, flexibility and strength are developed and enhanced which in turn increases self-esteem and confidence. Each 45 minute session combines fun, excitement and challenge in a safe environment. All sessions use equipment that is age appropriate and are run by trained staff to obtain the best outcome and experience for each child.
Royston Premises
We are currently negotiating for new premises in the town, which will shortly become available. Meanwhile, our existing Royston premises have been re-furbished and offer excellent nursery accommodation in very exclusive surroundings. Sunhill - Royston has a few vacancies.
New Projects
Subject to planning approval, we anticipate opening a new nursery to the West of Cambridge this year. More details soon.
Early reservation reductions apply at certain nurseries.
Nurseries operate more efficiently when working at full capacity, we are therefore offering generous reductions on first year's fees where we have excess capacity. Depending on how early reservations are made, savings up to 15% on first year's fees for advanced booking (one year in advance) are now offered on a first come basis at certain nurseries.
